Our mission
Fights Back exists to build power where the system abandoned it. We organize communities to meet their own needs through mutual aid, collective defense, and direct action; not charity, or empty promises. Our mission is simple: feed the hungry, protect the vulnerable, and fight like hell against the forces that keep people poor, divided, and afraid.
We believe in neighbors over politicians, solidarity over pity, and self-determination over dependence. Every program, from our Solidarity Shelf to Liberation Breakfast, grows from one truth; no one is coming to save us. We take care of each other because survival is not a crime, it’s resistance.
Fights Back builds infrastructure for a new kind of power: one rooted in community, dignity, and defiance. Organize. Mobilize. Resist

Our mission
The system isn’t broken, it’s working exactly as designed. Poverty, hunger, and homelessness aren’t accidents; they’re features of a machine built to keep people desperate while the rich stay fed. Fights Back exists to tear out that design by its roots and replace it with one built by the people, for the people.
We don’t beg power to be kind. We build our own. Every meal served, every shelf stocked, every neighbor defended proves we don’t need permission to survive or to fight back. Real change won’t come from politicians or nonprofits chasing grants. It’ll come from ordinary people organizing extraordinary resistance.
We’re not asking for a fairer cage. We’re building the tools to break it.
